Srisambhava learnt Buddhist meditation in 1986 while working for a community health project in London. She was ordained in 1993 and worked full-time at the London Buddhist Centre teaching meditation and Dharma classes.
In 2002 Srisambhava left London, via India and New Zealand, for the hills of North Wales where she currently lives with her partner. Alongside co-leading meditation and Dharma retreats, she has been exploring the gentle, body based process of Focusing.
A 19 year old art student stumbled upon Buddhism in 1982, packed her bags, moved to London and became fully involved in Buddhist community life.
In 1990 she was ordained as Vimalachitta and for 13 years worked full-time for the London Buddhist Centre, first as Meditation/Dharma teacher and then as women's mitra convenor.
Vimalachitta is now a trainer in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and leads courses in Mindful Presence (relational mindfulness) and Mindful Compassion in secular settings, as well as continuing to run retreats within Triratna.
