Parami - Parami has been a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order since 1980. In that time she has led retreats and workshops in many parts of the world. Her particular interest in the Bodhisattva Ideal has shown itself in many ways, most recently in her exploration of socially engaged Buddhism, on retreat and in training with Joanna Macy.
Currently she lives at Adhistana in Herefordshire and the rest of the time visits Triratna Centres in the UK and elsewhere. She is involved with Triratna activities around the world, especially in Spanish-speaking Centres. She has been a private preceptor for some years and became a public preceptor in 2005.
Acharashraddha attended her first retreat at Dhanakosa in 1997 and immediately fell in love with this beautiful place. She attended retreats here regularly and also taught Yoga here for many years. In 2011 she was ordained and shortly after that joined the Retreat Leading Team.
Moksadhi first came across Buddhism in Nepal and encountered Triratna at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre in 2013. After participating in a 5 month residential Dharma LIfe course at Adhisthana in 2016, she moved to London to immerse herself in Buddhist practice, living in community and working for Lama's Pyjamas charity shop. She completed her ordination training at the London Buddhist Centre, getting ordained at Akashavana in 2019. Moksadhi has a long standing love of the wilds of Scotland and has been involved in hill walking retreats at Dhanakosa since 2017. She joined the community at Dhanakosa in June 2020 to pursue her love of the elemental wilds in relation to her Buddhist practice more fully.
For Mitras within the Triratna Buddhist Community.
This popular retreat is held over a particularly reflective time of year. It offers an opportunity to look back over the previous year and to anticipate the next - with meditation, discussion, Dharma study and a big ritual on New Year’s Eve. This retreat is for Mitras in the Triratna Buddhist Community who wish to deepen their Buddhist practice and who have been on at least one week-long retreat.
