Dhanakosa Buddhist Retreat Centre offers a wide range of retreats including yoga, hillwalking, Tai Chi, arts and alternative health, all complementing a programme of introductory meditation teaching. Additionally, there are meditation and Buddhist study retreats designed for those with a more regular practice.
Dhanakosa is beautifully situated in the southern part of the Scottish highlands in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and this setting provides ideal conditions for retreats.
Steve Hornby, a regular volunteer at Dhanakosa, has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, this September and is raising money for Dhanakosa. Steve’s target is to raise £5,895 (the height of the mountain in metres) for the Dhanakosa Development Fund which helps us continue to improve Dhanakosa and provide retreats on a dana (donation) basis. To follow his progress and sponsor Steve click here or you can call us or send a cheque. Many thanks.
