how to book
In order to book on a retreat we require a booking fee of £100 (for week long retreats) or £75 (for weekend retreats).
Please note that our retreats are for people aged 18 and over only.
online
Go to retreat calendar and choose the retreat you would like to book on. Once on the page for the retreat, you will find a button that says Make Booking. Click this and fill out the booking form, and you will be able to pay the booking fee via Paypal using a credit/debit card.
Please note that if you book via our online booking form, do not book travel until you receive booking confirmation from us, as we need to confirm spaces are available.
by post
To pay by post cheques should be made payable to Dhanakosa, and be sure to include your contact details and information about which retreat you are booking for.
by phone
Please phone our office (10am to 5pm Monday thru Friday) to pay over the phone using a credit/debit card.
cancellation policy
Our cancellation policy has been updated in July 2021. If you cancel a retreat booking it will be possible to receive a refund or transfer the booking fee to another retreat within 12 months, provided you give us at least 1 month’s notice from the start of the retreat you are cancelling. After which booking fees are only transferable under special circumstances. See our full cancellations, and transfers policy here.
waiting list policy
When a retreat is full we will add people to a waiting list without taking a booking fee. A waiting list is simply our way of noting that you are interested in attending a given retreat. Prior to 2 weeks ahead of the retreat start dates we will contact people on the waiting list, by email and phone, in the order in which they have been added to the list.
Two weeks ahead of the retreat start date, we will contact the entire list by email and/or phone and fill the spaces on a first come / first served basis. This is because it is particularly difficult to fill retreat spaces at short notice.
paying for your retreat
Dhanakosa operates on the basis of generosity, or dana. When you attend your retreat you will be given an opportunity to make a donation towards the ongoing costs of running Dhanakosa. Suggested donations are noted on the retreat information pages (see retreat calendar).
Please see dana economy for more information about the dana economy and how your donations are what makes Dhanakosa what it is.
