Getting to dhanakosa by public transport
If you would like to share transport with other retreatants, you can request or offer a lift on our liftshare page.
By Train or Coach
Our nearest train station is Stirling, once you are there you have a couple of options:
- Kingshouse Travel run a taxi bus on Fridays, leaving Stirling station at 5pm and going direct to Dhanakosa. This will cost £60 for one person, or less if there are more passengers. There are usually a few people travelling this way on a Friday. Please contact Kingshouse direct to enquire and book - bookings@kingshousetravel.com or call 01877 384768. Kingshouse will also provide a taxi from Stirling to Dhanakosa at other times, please contact them to book.
- A bus from Stirling to Callander (59), another bus to Kingshouse (c60). To plan your journey as far as Kingshouse visit Traveline Scotland.
- You can also travel by Citylink coach (978 Edinburgh-Oban). There is a direct connection between Edinburgh and Kingshouse, with a stop in Stirling, arrving at Kingshouse at 19.11 on Friday evening. For more information and booking visit Citylink.
- From Kingshouse you will need to book a taxi to Dhanakosa. The most local company is Kingshouse Travel, this will cost around £9.
By Air
You can get a flight to Edinburgh, Glasgow International or Glasgow Prestwick airports. Aim to arrive before 2 pm at the latest. Approximate journey times to Stirling are shown below.

Start/Finish times
Please arrive between 5-7pm on the day the retreat starts, this is when retreat reception will be open.
Please let us know if arriving later than 7 pm so that we can save some dinner for you.
Week-long retreats will end at approximately 11 am on the final day. Return travel should be booked leaving Stirling after 1 pm, return flights should be no earlier than 4 pm. We will facilitate lift share or shared taxi to key transport links (normally Stirling) at the end of the retreat. If you need to leave before the times given above or would rather make your own arrangements for leaving the retreat please do so prior to arrival as access to phone and internet at the retreat is limited.
Weekend retreats will finish around 3pm on the Sunday.
