Wolf at the Door offers a friendly and nurturing way of exploring this essential human faculty through writing, meditation and ritual. No prior experience of writing is needed, just a willingness to step through the door into new creative spaces.

When we lead the Dharma life and move towards a more fully human one, the imagination is an essential part of that journey. Wolf at the Door offers you the chance to adventure in the Imagination through the practice of writing, meditation and ritual.
No prior experience of writing is needed. We ask that you are familiar with the basic Triratna meditation practices and puja and have a regular meditation practice as they are not taught on the retreat. Also that you have been on retreat previously.
"Where the Wildness is: Dancing with Form and Freedom" is a Wolf at the Door Buddhist writing retreat, exploring the imagination through pen, paper - and the spaces in between. Can we find the wildness of imagination through letting ourselves go with no limits, or do we find it using particular forms or parameters? What have other writers and artists done? Is it possible to dance between the two?

These retreats are especially for people who are already practicing within the context of the Triratna Buddhist Community. Previous experience of the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditations and of the 7-fold Puja will be assumed.

WOLF AT THE DOOR: REWILDING THE HUMAN SPACE - a writing course led by Ananda and Vishvantara with Dharmavadana.
Wolf at the Door offers you a wild space for a week, to explore and unearth unsuspected marvels through the practice of writing, ritual, group meditation and discussion. Instead of a spade, we’ll use pens and keyboards; and instead of fertilizer we’ll use our deep imagination.
No prior writing experience needed, but you will need to know the basic Triratna meditation practices.
