Embodied Courage - Women's Meditation Retreat
Pasadini has been a practicing Buddhist/meditator since Y2K. She enjoys the simplicity, intimacy and honesty that meditation is/requires of her, and feels deeply honoured to be able to introduce others to meditation, and Buddhist practice. She lived at Dhanakosa for two years, and now stays in Glasgow full time and leads retreats at Dhanakosa several times a year.
Originally hailing from Eastern Canadian shores, but having spent her whole adult life in the US, until 2012, she will forgive you if you think she sounds American. Its like totally totally awesome dude.
Viryadevi lives in Glasgow and has been meditating for 33 years. She has spent the last few years supporting adults with learning disability and training on a Dharma-based counselling course which have both challenged her to develop more heart connection in meditation and daily life.
Regulars - Meditation
Suitable for people who have been on retreat before and have a regular meditation practice. These retreats will be conducted mostly in silence, and will normally have between 5 and 7 hours a day of sitting meditation.
What does it mean to face your life fully? Where do you find the courage to turn towards yourself, your live, your mistakes, your fullness and also towards others? What if you could drop your agenda and accept the natural flow of your life?
When you deeply inhabit the space of your body you can begin to walk through your life more easefully, freely and more joyfully. And you give yourself the chance to live your live more authentically, more honestly, and with true sincerity of heart.
Practising together, in meditation and simple circle work together, we find the support to witness and engage with ourselves with love and kindness. The main purpose of this retreat is to co-create a space where women can go deeper in the practice of meditation (personal and inter-relational) through the practices of witnessing each other, embodied presence work, and facilitated meditation periods.
The retreat leaders have abundant experience in holding and co-creating space in order to facilitate going deeper, no matter what your experience. We wish to invite you all, you dharma heroines, to join a sangha of women practicing together--a most precious opportunity!
This retreat is suitable for people with at least six months regular meditation practice and who have attended at least one full weeks retreat before.
For more information read the retreat information sheet.
