yoga and meditation long weekend
Pasadini’s (they/them) main focus in practice is working with shadow energies, and they encourage curiosity in meeting all that arises in experience through deeper connection with our heart and energetic being. They currently live in Glasgow, are a co-chair at the Glasgow Buddhist Centre, and studying to become a counsellor. They have been a student of Buddhist meditation since 2000 and lead retreats regularly at Dhanakosa.
An ideal first regulars retreat. These retreats take themes from our introductory programme and introduce a stronger Buddhist context through meditation, teachings, up to 3 days of silence, ritual and chanting.
Open to anyone who has done an introductory retreat or has been attending a local Buddhist centre, is familiar with Buddhist practice and is looking to take it a bit deeper.
This online version of our popular yoga and meditation retreat will combine meditation teaching with yoga. Going Deeper retreats are suitable for anyone who has already done an introductory retreat, or who has been attending their local Triratna centre and wants to take things deeper. Going Deeper – with Yoga and Meditation will emphasise a body based approach to meditation supported by the mindful body work of Yoga to help us develop a fuller physical and emotional awareness. We will continue exploring the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana but also introduce a stronger Just Sitting and reflection element to the practice.
Yoga teaching is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.
The retreat will start at 7pm on Friday evening, finishing at 6pm on Monday. For more information and the full programme see the retreat information sheet.
The online retreat will run on the zoom meeting platform. This works in most web browsers, and you can also get free apps for all major mobile platforms too. You don’t need to pay for an account to take part.
