Throughout our lives we long to love ourselves more deeply and find a greater sense of intimacy with others and the world we live in. But our fear of connection means we often feel cut off from others thus creating suffering for ourselves. On this retreat we will explore the ancient Buddhist meditation of Loving Kindness practice and how it can help awaken our heart to its true potential.

Movement and meditation follow on from one another, bridging the gap between stillness and engagement with the world. Easy physical improvisational exercises will help us to become more present and mindful, and open us to more light and joy. This will enrich our attention within and outside of meditation allowing us to be saturated with the spirit of discovery. simply being

Friday, 4 September 2020 to Friday, 11 September 2020 2020

‘Simply being’ points to the aliveness and awakeness that we can recognise at any moment. It’s an openness to full presence, our full being - in body, senses and awareness. It points to being what we really are, beyond conceptual fabrication. In recognising and opening to the steady and spacious aspects of experience here and now, we may glimpse a timeless awareness-emptiness that is inseparable from loving, compassionate energy.
